Gettin’ Ready for T Day

Tomorrow is my Day 3 transfer of two embryos! (WHAT?!? WOOHOO! COME ON, LITTLE EMBIES! STAY STRONG & HEALTHY!) <– (because clearly they are reading my blog, and or have some superhuman way of already knowing what I am thinking and feeling).

We are scheduled at 10 AM, and then R is dropping me off home for total rest and relaxation while he goes to work. I'm running out to the store tonight to prep for must haves.

So what are the must haves?

I’ve got my pineapple ripening on the counter (my mom thinks I’m nuts but is happy to cut it up for me anyway).

But other than the pineapple core, what else do I need to keep in mind tomorrow and during my special IVF two week wait?

* What worked for you?
* What do you swear by?
* What do you avoid at all costs?

Lay it on me kids; foods, strategies, visualizations, meditations… let’s hear it all! Gotta make a comfy home for these little ones, so they’ll want to stay!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. The thing I did different for my BFP was went on brisk walks, one two days after transfer. I read am article a doctor wrote about increasing bloods flow to the uterus helping implantation and it made sense to me. Who knows, maybe it worked or maybe I’d have got BFP lying in bed for two weeks. I always have the pineapple though. Good luck xx

      • I relaxed the day of transfer and the following day. On the third day we went for a good hour + walk, gentle(ish) with a couple of inclines but no rock scrambling!! I found it took my mind off stuff and made me feel better so I did it every other day through 2WW it was my fourth transfer after 3 BFNs so I obviously did something right ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  2. Of course it’s too early for me to tell if it “worked” but I was told (by doctor, sister, and acupuncturist) some things: eat hot soup and drink warm drinks-make a nice warm home for your embryo. Keep warm socks on your feet and warm blankets on you-again, keep your body circulating warm blood. Watch funny movies right after transfer- laughing helps with implantation ๐Ÿ™‚ Best of luck to you-sending positive, happy, fertile thoughts your way!

    • Ooh! Good tips! I’ve actually spent the evening concocting a batch of lentil soup for the next couple of days’ lunch! I read lentils were good for implantation. I will definitely keep my feet cozy and have some comedies all lined up!!! Thinking of you– when do have your beta?!?
