A Weird Couple of Days

17w1d today and I almost feel like I’m back in first trimester.

  • extreme fatigue to the point of not being able to get much done at work
  • the only food that doesn’t trigger a gag reflex right now is Cool Ranch Doritos
  • a jittery/fluttery stomach with an occasional odd ache or pain – sometimes with that “empty” need-to-eat feeling even when I’m feeling bloated or have just eaten something

Serves me right for bragging about how great I have felt when people ask how I’m doing.  Anyone else experience this after feeling pretty good?!?

  1. I went through fairly steady vomiting til about 20-22 weeks. There were brief periods of relief and general feelings of normalcy (relatively speaking that is). Hope it doesn’t last too long for you 😊

  2. Stretching out maybe? Last week not even kidding I googled “2nd trimester morning sickness” because I didn’t have any with the 1st (just some nausea), and I’ve started feeling crappy too all of a sudden.
Hope you feel better! I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about but let us know what Dr says.

  3. I’m at nearly 16 weeks and over the past week-ish I’ve felt like I’ve sort of regressed back into the first trimester. Same as you – fatigue, nausea, vomiting etc. It’s not as bad as it used to be at worst, but it’s very frustrating just when I was able to be more active.

    • Hope you feel better soon! I slept a few extra hours this AM which seems to have helped a little. Maybe if I had a proper bump by now the regression wouldn’t bother me as much! I still just have an extra low belly pouch and starting to bloat above the belly button.

  4. I have yet to really feel “good” lol nausea and vomiting are slowly starting to fade. My first thought though, that little “fluttery” feeling may be the first feelings of movements. That’s how mine feel. Like my stomach is one of those perpetual motion things that rock back and forth. I love it 🙂
